Welcome to The Arts Society Steyning!

We’re so glad you’re here! At The Arts Society Steyning, we meet monthly (taking a break in August and December) to enjoy fascinating talks on a wide range of arts-related topics. Since our founding in 2005 (originally as the Steyning Decorative and Fine Arts Society), we’ve been bringing together people who share a love for the arts. While we’re based in the heart of Steyning, our members and visitors come from all over East and West Sussex—so you’re sure to meet friendly faces from nearby towns and villages.

Talks That Inspire 

Our talks are led by passionate, highly qualified experts who bring their knowledge of painting, architecture, sculpture, music, photography, furniture, ceramics, and more to life. We gather from 0945 for tea or coffee, followed by the meeting at 1030. It’s the perfect way to spend a morning—learning something new and connecting with fellow art enthusiasts.

Beyond our monthly talks, we organise visits and events to art galleries, museums, and places of historic and artistic interest—both locally and further afield. Whether it’s a day trip or a special event, such as a life drawing class, there’s always something exciting to look forward to!
