Welcome to The Arts Society Steyning

The Arts Society Steyning meets monthly (except in August & December) for talks on a broad and diverse range of topics.  Founded in 2005 as Steyning Decorative and Fine Arts Society, our members have been sharing a curiosity for the Arts for over 12 years. Some of our members come from Shoreham, Worthing Rustington, Littlehampton and Brighton & Hove.

Our talks are given by experienced and highly qualified lecturers who are experts in their chosen field. A full description can be found in the 'Talks' section.

The Society also organizes visits to art galleries, museums and places of historic and artistic interest in the UK.  Find out more in our 'Visits/Events' section.

Special Interest Days are those in which a subject is studied in greater depth. Further information is available in the 'Special Interest' section.

The Society supports and promotes Young  Arts. See 'Young Arts' section.

The Society is a member of The Arts Society that was founded in 1968 as the National Association of Decorative and Fine Arts Societies. The Arts Society works to advance decorative and fine arts education and appreciation, alongside promoting the preservation of artistic heritage. It is a UK-based charity and supports a network of over 360 local societies across the country. In addition, it supports a number of Decorative and Fine Arts Societies in mainland Europe and Australasia.

‚ÄčTeas and Coffee.

Regretably, our coffee meister, Deborah, will be moving on in February and we have so far been unsuccessful in finding another member to replace her. The task is not too time consuming, taking about 30 minutes both before and after the meeting. We need someone to head up the team to ensure that the water heater is swithed on and the dishwasher is available.

Without your help we shall NOT be able to serve drinks before each meeting.

Please, please can you help!  Ring Len on 01903 812752
